The Fairtrade Foundation wishes everybody a happy holiday.
This month, why not get festive with Fairtrade? There are now sleighs full of Christmas presents with a Fairtrade twist, from fruit and chocolate to tea and wine. With every purchase you make benefiting producers in developing countries, you'll be filling stockings in no time!

Breaking News: Kit Kat gives cocoa farmers in Côte d'Ivoire a break

We are really excited that today Nestlé is announcing a switch to Fairtrade for their biggest selling chocolate brand, Kit Kat. This means huge benefits going back to cocoa producers in Côte d'Ivoire, one of the poorest countries in the world. Bars carrying the FAIRTRADE Mark will be available from January 2010. Media Coverage: Fairtrade move by council

SOUTHEND Council is launching new initiatives in its moves to encourage more people to buy Fairtrade products.
The public is being urged to help producers, particularly in the third world, to get a better deal.
Events including a farmers market in the High Street and a dinner and fashion show at South East Essex College.
